A Fruitland Park man was arrested for reckless driving after reaching 111 miles per hour on his first motorcycle.
A deputy spotted 23-year-old Thaddeus Brayden Holiday speeding on a red motorcycle in Wildwood around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Radar showed he was going 111 mph in a 60-mph zone near State Road 44 and County Road 231.
After being stopped, Holiday stated it was the “stupidest thing” he had ever done. The deputy asked why he was speeding, and he advised that he had just bought the motorcycle not too long ago. He had not broken it in, and it was his first one, the report said…
