A Summerfield man was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being stopped for a broken headlight near Wawa.
An officer observed 39-year-old Jose Omar Mora Sosa driving a green 4-door Saab in The Villages at 8:55 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The passenger-side headlight was not working, leading to a traffic stop near Wawa, located at 116 U.S. Hwy. 27.
Mora Sosa handed over his license but could not find proof of insurance. A check of his driving history showed his license had been suspended on Oct. 31, and he had been notified of this on Oct. 16. He had also been convicted of driving with a suspended license on July 29, the report said.
He stated his automatic payment for insurance must not have gone through because his bank account information changed. However, he remembered getting the notice about his license from the DHSMV, the report said…
