Yes! I believe there is abuse at the pools in The Villages and I have witnessed it.
Unfortunately, some residents have befriended outside people and are contributing to the problem as well. If you’re paying attention, as soon as a Village employee enters the pool gate, it is obvious how many people get up and enter the pool. I suggest you do away with the not bothering people in the pool rule. Have the Village employee enter the pool area and announce, “Ladies and gentlemen, everyone out of the pool for an ID card check, Thank you for your cooperation.” With this announcement, as well as signage, I believe that this is the new policy along with implementation should do the trick. A fine would be a deterrent as well.
A “See something say something” sign with a phone number to call, could bring the Pool Patrol right to the pool and the offending party, especially if the caller includes a description…
