Villager ordered into anger management after going berserk on dog groomer

A Villager who became enraged about a dog grooming trailer parked near his home has been ordered into anger management.

James Walter Ekberg, 73, of the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Miona Shores, has been ordered to complete eight hours of anger management in order to avoid prosecution on a charge of criminal mischief with damage to property.

The lady groomer was in her trailer grooming a customer’s dog shortly before 2 p.m. July 21 in the 1100 block of Miona Shores Drive when Ekberg tried to forcefully open her trailer door, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He pulled on the door three times.
