A homeless man in Leesburg was arrested for battering a Good Samaritan who intervened when it seemed he was following a woman at Palm Plaza.
Officers responded to Palm Plaza, located at 715 N 14th St., regarding an altercation between 54-year-old Preston Wade Greenlee and another man around 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officers found the male victim standing in the parking lot. He looked injured, with blood on his face, arms and shirt. A nearby witness directed the officers to Taco Bell, located at 614 N 14th St., where Greenlee had gone after the altercation, the report said
He was sitting near a booth inside the restaurant when the officers caught up to him. As they got closer, he put a pair of black-handled scissors on the table. He then stood up, put his hands behind his head and was detained, the report said…
