194-acre Ocala horse facility sold for $8.4 million

A nearly 200-acre equestrian property in northwest Ocala with a race track, 20 paddocks, and over 130 stalls has just been sold for $8,400,000.

Sergent Stables, a 194.70-acre property located at 12662 U.S. Highway 27 in Ocala, was sold for $8,400,000 to Southern Gents LLC on November 6, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.

State corporate records show that Southern Gents, LLC, has multiple listed members, including Jake Evans, the owner of Empire Show Stables in Ocala. The selling company, Tri Star Capital, Inc., is registered to Kevin Sergent.

In addition to a 7-bedroom house, a 2-bedroom log cabin, a 2-bedroom house with a pool, and a renovated 4-bedroom staff quarters, the property features a large collection of equestrian amenities…
