A Sumterville woman was arrested for battery after hitting a medical staff member on the back several times at LifeStream Behavioral Center in Leesburg.
An officer responded to LifeStream, located at 2020 Tally Rd., regarding 22-year-old Karla Rosado hitting a medical staff member on her back around 1:25 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
The staff member explained that Rosado had asked her to get coloring markers. She handed them to Rosado, who then put the basket on the ground. As the staff member tried to pick it up, Rosado kicked it away with her left foot, the report said.
She went to pick them up again, and when she bent over, Rosado hit her twice with a closed fist on the left side of her back. She pushed Rosado away to get some distance before putting the markers on the counter. Rosado proceeded to hit her once more on her lower back, the report said…
