Ocala teacher finalist for $50,000 dream classroom furniture giveaway

An Ocala teacher is in need of votes to win $50,000 from a private company seeking to provide specialized classroom furniture to address student disengagement, outdated learning environments, and teacher burnout across the nation.

Brandon Caraway is one of 12 finalists vying for the KI Classroom Furniture Giveaway. The program, which is celebrating its fourth year in existence, is led by KI, a manufacturer of innovative furniture for education, healthcare, government, and corporate environments.

According to KI, Caraway was selected from over 550 kindergarten through 12th grade teachers who all submitted digital layouts of their dream classrooms using KI’s Classroom Planner Tool.

From those submissions the company, which is employee-owned and headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, selects semi-finalists who are then evaluated by a panel of architecture and design professionals that narrow the field to 12 finalists…
