Community Mourns the Loss of SkateWorld Owner Scott Christley

The Leesburg and surrounding community is mourning the sudden passing of Scott Christley, longtime owner of SkateWorld in Leesburg and a familiar face to generations of local families.

News of his death was shared by his family this morning in a social-media post that described him as a devoted husband, father and leader whose kindness and strength touched countless lives.

“He was the perfect example of a leader—strong, kind, and steady—and his spirit will forever be with me,” his daughter wrote. “The love my dad showed my momma gave me a true vision of what ‘til death do us part’ really means.”

SkateWorld in Leesburg has been a community staple for decades. They announced it will be closed Thursday as family and staff take time to grieve and honor Scott’s memory.
