The Ocala/Marion County metropolitan statistical area has one of the highest foreclosure rates in the country, with a real estate data company reporting an increase of almost 20% in foreclosure rates over last year across the nation.
The data was reported by ATTOM, a real estate data company that keeps track of property data across the nation. In total, during the third quarter of 2025, the United States recorded approximately 101,513 foreclosure filings.
According to ATTOM, that number represents a one percent increase over the second quarter, and a 17 percent increase over the 2024 figure. At least 35,602 properties across the country experienced a foreclosure filing in September alone, which is up 20% from last year…
