Ex-boyfriend jailed after forcing way into woman’s home in Leesburg

A Summerfield man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend residence and holding her down to keep her from calling the police.

The ex-girlfriend of 47-year-old Teodulo Augusto Blandino Herrera was inside her Leesburg residence when she heard a vehicle honking its horn around 1:50 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

After several minutes of listening to it, she opened her front door to see what was going on. She then saw Blandino Herrera getting out of the driver’s seat of his vehicle. She knew it was him since she had been in a romantic relationship for about a year, but she had ended it a week prior due to him being physically violent, the report said.

Blandino Herrera proceeded to shout at the ex-girlfriend about why she ended the relationship and that he wanted it to restart. She told him to go home, she did not want him there and he needed to leave her alone. He continued to plead with her about the relationship while walking toward the door, the report said…
