78-year-old jailed after dispute over storing leftover turkey in refrigerator

A 78-year-old was arrested after a dispute over storing leftover turkey in a refrigerator.

Nanette Mack, who lives at Oakland Hills off U.S. Hwy. 441 in the Lady Lake portion of Sumter County, is facing a charge of battery following the altercation at her home over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

A woman and her children were at Mack’s home when the woman began rearranging Mack’s refrigerator to make room for leftover turkey, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sherif’s Office. The woman concluded there was “no space” for the turkey and began emptying the refrigerator to free up additional storage.

Mack entered the kitchen, observed what was taking place and grabbed the other woman by her arm in an attempt to pull her away from the refrigerator. The other woman tried to push Mack away from her, prompting Mack to grab the woman by her hair…
