An Ocklawaha woman was arrested for allegedly battering her boyfriend when he refused to give her his car keys so she could see another man.
A deputy responded to a domestic battery involving 24-year-old Alexis Page Champagne at an undisclosed residence around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
She told law enforcement that she was in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, the father of her child, over him hiding the keys to his vehicle in his bedroom. She went into the room and “demolished” it looking for the keys. After this, they were standing in the kitchen when he put his hands around her neck and punched her in the face, the report said.
The deputy saw Champagne had redness on her neck and a fresh cut on the bridge of her nose. She continued, saying all she did was yell and scream at him. She also “hit” his phone out of his hand because she did not want him recording her, the report said…
