A Leesburg man will appear in court for a syringe with methamphetamine found near his tent behind Circle K.
An employee of Circle K, located at 900 S 14th St., noticed a green tent in the wooded area behind the business at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, according to a case report from the Leesburg Police Department. Circle K management said that it wanted the tent’s owner, 50-year-old Christopher Salas, to be trespassed from the property.
An officer later found him on the property near the tent. During their conversation, he saw a small black case on the ground amongst Salas’s property. Closer inspection revealed a clear and orange syringe with methamphetamine around the plunger area. Salas claimed the syringe was for diabetic and insulin purposes, the report said…
