A Eustis woman was arrested for punching a specialist at LifeStream when she refused to let her leave with a “safety plan.”
A recovery specialist of LifeStream, located at 2020 Tally Rd., discharged 25-year-old Autumn Rose Walker from the mental health clinic at 4:55 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. She had been admitted voluntarily, and they originally arranged for her to be transferred to another mental health facility for treatment.
However, Walker changed her mind about wanting to go to said facility and in favor of just leaving. The specialist explained per LifeStream’s policy, they could not simply release homeless patients without a “safety plan.” Walker became irate at this information and started banging her head into a wall in the women’s unit common area, the report said.
Staff members told her to go back to her room to calm down before they could arrange for her release. She again grew irate, saying she “wanted to go to jail” if she could not go home. When staff members tried to escort her to her room, she instead approached the specialist, the report said…
