Man allegedly slashes tires of ex-girlfriend’s co-parent outside Leesburg bar

An Ocklawaha man was arrested after allegedly slashing the tires of his ex-girlfriend’s co-parent outside of Shamrock Lounge.

An officer responded to criminal mischief involving 42-year-old Joel Jonathan Rottermond at the Shamrock Lounge, located at 1120 W North Blvd., around 1:45 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The owner of a tan Chevy Silverado advised that he was at the bar the night before and did not notice until the next day that his rear tires had been slashed. They were now completely flat, and he believed Rottermond was responsible. He also had security camera footage given to him by the bar’s manager that showed a man stabbing his tires, the report said.

He explained that he shared a child with Rottermond’s ex-girlfriend, and the situation started when Rottermond learned he had been hanging out with her. They got into a verbal altercation at the bar, which was broken up by staff. He was told to stay inside the bar while Rottermond left, the report said…
