Several other readers share opinions about golf cart parking at Ocala locales

“As to the parking spaces for golf carts, they could have the spots at the far end of the parking lot. The near spots should be for handicapped or veterans. It doesn’t make sense that the people who are athletic enough to play golf cannot walk to the store. If they cannot walk, they are handicapped. It is not the elitism I object to so much as the lack of consideration for others less fortunate.”Karen Reade, Ocala

“The person complaining of inadequate handicap parking and too many golf cart parking spots indicated that her father was 94 and a World War II Veteran. Impossible! If her father is 94 , he would have been born around 1931 and would have been only 15 at conclusion of World War II. She does have a point about too many golf cart spaces and a lack of handicap spaces!”John Wooton, Key West

“There’s too many golf cart spots at Summerfield Walmart, closer than handicapped spots. Why are they allowed to drive all over the area with no tags, no insurance, and no seatbelt? And they drive like it’s a go-kart, cutting people off. No respect! Why are they allowed to drive everywhere and even cross U.S. 441. It’s really annoying and not fair.”Elmer Mcduggle, Summerfield
