A homeless man in Leesburg was arrested for trespassing at Palm Plaza after harassing customers for money with a crack pipe on his person.
Officers responded to Palm Plaza, located at 717 N. 14th St., regarding 43-year-old Leory Alexander Rogers harassing fellow customers around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. He was on the property getting agitated when declined being given money despite being issued trespass warnings on July 14, 2024, and Sept. 17, 2023.
The first officer on scene saw him still on the property, but he walked away when the officer tried talking to him. Another officer was able to stop him in front of Popeye’s, located at 613 N 14th St., another place he had been trespassed from this year, the report said.
A subsequent search of his person revealed a clear glass pipe with burnt residue and steel wool stuffed in the end. Rogers admitted it was a “crack pipe,” the report said…
