Circle K clerk arrested after allegedly stealing lottery tickets

A Circle K clerk was arrested after allegedly stealing lottery tickets from the store at which she was employed at Trailwinds Village in Wildwood.

Faith Destini Baker, 21, of Wildwood, was on duty from noon to 6 p.m. Friday when she stole $380 worth of scratch-off Florida Lottery tickets, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. It was learned that earlier in the month, on Dec. 7 and 17, she had manipulated prices and issued bogus refunds for her personal benefit.

Her total take from her employer was $584.64.

During an interview with police, Baker blamed her “autism and ADHD,” claiming she was not on her medication at the time the crimes were committed. She also said she “is facing significant financial difficulties due to a lack of sources of income.”…
