A suspicious woman with drugs landed behind bars after attempting to lie to law enforcement about her identity.
Nicole Michelle Rodgers, 43, of Summerfield, was walking with a large purple backpack in the area of Hope Lutheran Church on Sunset Harbor Road and immediately turned down a dirt road when she spotted a patrol vehicle from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. She continued to move in an evasive manner as the deputy neared her.
When the deputy asked her for identification, Rodgers provided a false name and a false date of birth, after claiming she did not have an ID with her.
A search of Rodgers’ bag turned up fentanyl and methamphetamine…
