Villagers dispute results and timing of swimming pool study

Villagers are finding fault with the results and timing of a recent study of ID compliance at swimming pools in The Villages.

The Recreation Department conducted the study over a period of four weeks in November and December at four neighborhood pools – Winifred, Tamarind Grove, DeLuna and St. Catherine. The study found a high-rate of compliance with those who had proper identification. The study, to be discussed Monday by the Project Wide Advisory Committee, supports previous reports from Director of Recreation Center John Rohan that the abuse of pools by “outsiders” is extremely rare.
