A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly attacking his partner and slicing the teeth of her daughter’s boyfriend when he intervened.
An officer responded to an undisclosed apartment in Leesburg regarding 38-year-old German Jose Diaz Ferrini armed with a knife and threatening his family around 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Dispatchers advised that he was currently in the kitchen and was last seen wearing black pants with no shirt.
Upon arrival, dispatch continued to inform the officer about the situation. They stated Diaz Ferrini was in a disturbance with his partner of four years, during which he grabbed her by the hair, hit her and armed himself with the knife. As the officer walked to the building, he heard very loud banging coming from the third-floor window facing the parking lot, the report said.
The officer proceeded up the stairs and heard very loud screaming coming from the third floor, so he sped up. Due to the circumstances, he drew his firearm before opening the unlocked door at the incident location.
