An unlicensed driver from Honduras was arrested on Interstate 75 in Wildwood.
A deputy pulled into the Pilot Travel Center on State Road 44 in Wildwood, around 11:10 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. While in the parking lot, he noticed a silver Toyota Corolla and checked the tag. He then discovered the registered owner, 57-year-old Santos Humberto Yanez Jimenez, did not have a driver’s license.
Seeing this, the deputy stopped the vehicle on the northbound on-ramp to I-75. Yanez Jimenez was able to hand over documentation for the vehicle but did not have a license from the United States or his home country, Honduras. He did, however, have a work visa for the United States, the report said…
