A man was shot and killed in front of his southeast Ocala home the afternoon of Jan. 7. Shortly after the shooting the Ocala Police Department detained a man, described as a person of interest, for questioning. At an 8:30 p.m. news conference, police announced they had arrested that person of interest. The investigation is ongoing.
