Villager arrested after rowdy behavior at outdoor bar at square

A Villager was arrested after her rowdy behavior became a problem at an outdoor bar at a town square.

Marrian Ann Zambrano, 71, who lives on the Historic Side of The Villages, was “highly intoxicated, acting belligerent, using profane/foul language, and refusing to leave” the Bella Vita Italian Steakhouse at about 6 p.m. Tuesday at Spanish Springs Town Square, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When she was asked to leave, she remained at the outdoor bar “making the employees and other customers uncomfortable,” the report said.

When an officer approached the Mississippi retiree, who had been arrested on Christmas Eve 2018 after she allegedly groped a younger man outside RJ Gators at Lake Sumter Landing, she began gathering her belongings as if she was preparing to leave. She lost her balance and stumbled. The officer had to catch Zambrano to prevent her from falling. When she eventually regained her balance, she tried to walk back into Bella Vita. She was guided to a nearby bench.

Officers concluded Zambrano was in no condition to drive and tried to help her find “another safe means of transport home.” But she “abruptly stood up” and moved toward in an “aggressive manner” toward the officer who had suggested alternate transportation…
