A Dunnellon homeowner is suing Home Depot for more than $130,000, alleging that a stalled HVAC installation left his home without heat, ruined his family’s holiday plans, and forced his sick wife to flee the property.
Francisco Soto filed the civil complaint on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Civil Court of Marion County against Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. and its CEO, Ted Decker.
According to the lawsuit, Soto hired the retailer for HVAC installation and electrical services at his residence on SW 43rd Place. Soto alleges that Home Depot accepted and retained a $6,000 payment for an electrical panel replacement but ultimately performed “no electrical work” at the site…
