An Ocala shopper is suing Publix Super Markets for more than $50,000, claiming negligence after slipping on an “unidentified liquid” while walking through the store.
Ery St. Germain filed the complaint against Publix Supermarkets Inc., on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County.
According to the lawsuit, the incident took place on Nov. 3, 2025, at the Publix located at 9570 SW 62nd Avenue in Ocala. St. Germain was shopping at the store and walking from the bakery section toward the registers when the fall occurred.
