OCALA, FL (352today.com) – There will be a public hearing at the Ocala City Council meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, to consider a concurrency development agreement pursuant to chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes between West Oaks Developments LLC and the City of Ocala for approximately 198.80 acres south of NW 27th Ave. north of NW 21 St. and west of the Florida Northen Railroad right-of-way.
This will be the first of two public hearings related to the concurrency development agreement. The second is scheduled for Feb. 3, 2026, before the Ocala City Council.
The owner intends to develop the property as a mixed-use real estate development, which may include single-family residential, apartment, condominium, townhouse and retail uses, as set forth in the planned development plan currently approved or as such planned development plan may be subsequently amended, according to the concurrency development agreement…
