A Villager who barricaded himself in his home for several hours after an alleged attacked on his wife is hoping to be set free after nearly a month behind bars.
Tyler Gentry McKee, 35, was arrested at the conclusion of the standoff on Dec. 23 at his home at 4985 McLaughlin Terrace in the Village of Chitty Chatty. He continues to be held without bond, thanks in part to a probation violation. He is facing charges of kidnapping, assault, battery and resisting arrest.
McKee’s attorney has filed a motion asking a judge to set bond in the case. The attorney contends the McKee is not a flight risk and if he is set free, he will reside with his parents in the Village of Pine Ridge.
McKee’s wife said that her husband, whom she married earlier this year after meeting him through a dating application, broke into her locked bedroom, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
