City considering $566,000 for 83 new carts at Ocala Golf Club amid course upgrades

Following a year of significant renovations and improved playing conditions at the Ocala Golf Club, city officials are now looking to upgrade the facility’s golf cart fleet with the purchase of 83 new units.

The Ocala City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday on a proposal to authorize the acquisition of 82 new golf carts and one new beverage cart for the city-owned course, which is located at 3130 E Silver Springs Boulevard.

The total contract with E-Z Go would not exceed $566,238. According to city records, the club’s current lease for its existing fleet is set to expire on April 15, 2026…
