A man has been sentenced to an 11-year prison term and one year of probation after pleading no contest to charges of DUI manslaughter and driving while license is suspended or revoked.
Records show James Edward Carter will be credited for 246 days served at the county jail while awaiting resolution of this case.
As conditions of probation Carter cannot posses or consume alcohol or take any illegal substances. The judge also ordered him to watch a recording of the victim’s funeral, provided it’s still available on YouTube, and to write detailed notes on the service, according to court documents…
