A Leesburg man was arrested for battery after allegedly hitting his mother on the forehead while she cleaned.
The mother of 40-year-old Brandon Armond Jones was in the hallway of their Leesburg residence around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. She was cleaning and singing when he came out of his bedroom and struck her on the forehead.
He said something after, but she could not remember the specifics when telling officers what happened. She sustained redness and a scratch mark, which were consistent with her story, the report said.
She added that on Sunday, she asked Jones to take his muddy shoes out of the dryer. He became aggressive, grabbed her right arm and squeezed it hard enough to leave bruises and scratches. Additionally, a check of his criminal history showed he had a prior battery conviction on specified personnel on March 30, 2009, the report said…
