A 19-year-old employee at an Ocala Walmart was arrested earlier this month after he found a customer’s debit card and allegedly used it to fraudulently withdraw $1,500.
According to the arrest report, a female victim contacted the Ocala Police Department and reported that $1,500 had been stolen from her checking account on Saturday, January 3. She advised that she had been shopping at the Walmart located at 4980 E Silver Springs Boulevard when she “accidentally left her card at the [self-checkout] register.”
Shortly after leaving Walmart, the victim realized her debit card was missing, and she returned to the store. Her card was located at the customer service desk…
