Patient bites and scratches several staff members at LifeStream

A Clermont woman was arrested after lashing out at four LifeStream staff members attempting to inject her with court-ordered medication.

An officer responded to LifeStream, located at 2020 Tally Rd., when 67-year-old Daniela Saint-Fort hit and bit four staff members around 12 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The first staff member advised that the nursing staff was trying to administer a court-ordered long-term injection to Saint-Fort. She refused and began resisting by scratching and biting them. They were eventually able to restrain her, but not before she left a three-inch red scratch on the staff member’s chest, the report said.

The second staff member was bitten on her left hand. Sant-Fort did not let go until other staff members intervened. She was left with a one-and-a-half-inch bit mark on the top of her left hand that looked red and was beginning to bruise, the report said…
