Pair with drugs traveling in noisy truck arrested near Oxford Oaks

Two people with narcotics traveling in a noisy truck were arrested after a traffic stop near Oxford Oaks on U.S. 301.

Timothy Paul Taylor, 35, of Summerfield, was driving the truck shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday when its modified exhaust system caught the attention of an officer as it left the Wawa on U.S. 301, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

A traffic stop was initiated on U.S. 301 near the entrance to Oxford Oaks. During the traffic stop, Taylor claimed he had recently purchased the truck and said it came with the modified exhaust system. He said he had a “tool he could fix it with,” according to the report. There was no registration associated with vehicle.

A K-9 unit was summoned to the scene and alerted on the truck. Taylor was found to be in possession of more than 13 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He attempted to blame his passenger, 36-year-old Kayla Morrow of Umatilla. She also had methamphetamine in her purse and had a pipe for smoking narcotics…
