Central Florida’s most infamous unfinished building made a surprise national appearance this week.
During Jeopardy! on Monday, Feb. 9, a clue referenced the structure locals love to hate known as the I-4 Eyesore. Viewers around Orlando immediately recognized it, and according to those watching live, the clue was correctly answered by Washington, D.C.-based journalist Drew Goins, a returning champion competing in the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament.
The building is commonly referred to as the Majesty Building, a name that dates back to its original development in the early 2000s. While various owners have attempted to rebrand the project over the years, none of those names have stuck, and the structure has never been fully completed or occupied.
