Leesburg woman arrested during trip to local Wawa

A Leesburg woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after an officer spotted her parked at Wawa.

An officer observed 25-year-old Altyana Dorlita Baker parked in a silver Nissan Sentra at Wawa, located at 3150 W Main St., around 7:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. A check of the vehicle’s plate revealed its registration expired on Jan. 28, the report said.

So, as the vehicle pulled out of the parking lot, the officer initiated a traffic stop at Park Circle. Baker then admitted she did not have a driver’s license and was just cited for it “around two months ago,” the report said.

A check of her driving history revealed a guilty conviction for driving without a valid license in June 2022 and driving with a suspended license in Dec. 2025. She had a valid ID card, but her license had been suspended for an unpaid traffic citation as of Dec. 31, 2025, the report said…
