Father who didn’t pay child support arrested while driving in The Villages

A Wildwood man was arrested after being caught driving with a suspended licensed near Morse Boulevard in The Villages.

A deputy spotted 37-year-old Danny Lee Crosby driving a blue Ford Excursion on State Road 44 near Morse Boulevard at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the tag revealed the vehicle’s registration had expired on Aug. 19, 2025, leading to a traffic stop.

A record check later showed Crosby had two active suspensions related to non-payment of child support. He also had two prior guilty convictions for driving while license suspended from Nov. 22, 2011, out of Marion County and Nov. 29, 2012, out of Sumter County, the report said…
