Woman allegedly throws butter knife at boyfriend who called his mother for help

A Leesburg woman was arrested for allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a butter knife and hurting his mother when he called her for help.

Deputies responded to a physical altercation involving 24-year-old Katherine Christine Martin, her boyfriend and his mother at an undisclosed Lady Lake residence around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Dispatchers advised that the mother called to say Martin grabbed her and hurt her arm. Martin then took the phone, and dispatchers could hear arguing in the background.

Upon arrival, deputies had to detain Martin due to her uncooperative behavior. They next spoke with the boyfriend who explained he and Martin shared a child and a camper trailer. Earlier in the night, they were at The Garlic restaurant, located at 556 E Third Ave., New Smyrna Beach, where Martin had been drinking alcohol, the report said.

They later returned home where Martin stated she was going to take a shower. About 45 minutes later, she asked who was in the shower. The boyfriend stated she was the one that turned it on, but she did not believe him, the report said…
