An ex-employee has been ordered to pay thousands of dollars in restitution to her former boss after damaging his Tesla while it was parked at the Center for Advanced Healthcare at Brownwood in The Villages.
Jennifer Lynn Reiner, 40, of Belleview, must pay $3,342 to Dr. Mohammed Elamir, who runs the AVIV clinic, after damaging his Tesla on Sept. 23 while it was parked at the medical complex. Reiner, who formerly worked at the medical office, went there “and caused a scene,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. After she left the medical office, got into her vehicle and backed into a Tesla owned by Elamir. After striking the Tesla with her vehicle, she “began to throw things” at the Tesla and used a flashlight to repeatedly strike the vehicle’s tempered solar glass roof.
The former New Yorker “started throwing all of her belongings out of her vehicle onto the parking lot,” the report said. There was so much debris in the parking lot and around the vehicle, that her former boss “had to get work crews out of the business to clean up all of the debris, which amounted to several trash bags worth of items.” The report noted that the amount of debris easily exceeded the 15-pound minimum for a littering charge.
