Homeless man caught trespassing on vacant property with two backpacks of narcotics

A homeless man in Leesburg was arrested on drug charges after being caught trespassing on a vacant property.

Officers found 36-year-old Michael Cleve Tibbets on the vacant property of 2508 Westside Drive around 8:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. He had previously been trespassed from the area on Jan. 2, and he knew he had been given a warning not to come back.

He was subsequently handcuffed and placed under arrest. He admitted ownership of two backpacks, one black and yellow and the other black and red, that sat on the ground next to him at the time, the report said.

The first backpack contained three pill bottles that had been prescribed to other people. These were determined to be 105 Trazadone pills, 16 Benzonatate pills and 3 Presidone pills, the report said…
