A woman was arrested for battery after allegedly slapping her boyfriend outside the Shamrock Package & Lounge in Leesburg.
Officers responded to the Shamrock Package & Lounge, located at 1120 W North Blvd., regarding a physical altercation between 36-year-old Dana Marie Smart and her boyfriend of 20 years around 1 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
The owner was working inside the bar with her son when she saw Smart screaming and yelling on the other side of the business. Soon after, the boyfriend came inside and met with Smart. He then escorted her out, with the owner and her son following behind them. As soon as they got outside, they saw the couple arguing near a black 2012 Toyota SUV in the parking lot, the report said.
During the argument, the boyfriend was positioned between Smart and the driver’s side door. She slapped him in the face and pushed him away from the door. It was at that moment the owner contacted law enforcement, the report said…
