An Ocklawaha woman was arrested after allegedly taking an acquaintance’s truck for a joyride.
A deputy responded to a motor vehicle theft, later found to involve 27-year-old Sabrina Lynn Sanclemente, at Forest Lake Park in Ocklawaha around 10:10 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The truck was described as a white 1999 Ford F-150 that was stolen earlier that morning.
Upon entering the neighborhood, the deputy noticed a vehicle matching the description parked in a driveway on Southeast 187th Terrace. A closer look confirmed it was the truck in question. A male witness on scene stated it belonged to his sister, the owner of the truck, the report said.
He explained that Sanclemente was a known problem in the neighborhood, and she had stolen the truck for a joyride. He knew she was not allowed to drive the truck, so when he saw her in it near his place, he opened the door and took the keys out. He also told her that she needed to get out of the truck.
