New aerial photography reveals that construction is entering its final stages for the new Marion County Animal Shelter in Ocala, with a grand opening now on the horizon later this year.
According to a brief update from Marion County officials, work at the site is being finalized as crews prepare for an official opening celebration.
The county recently shared aerial views showing the completed structures and progress on the surrounding grounds of the new facility, which is located at 6405 W. Highway 40, just north of the Ocala International Airport.
