An inspector found some high-priority violations during a pair of recent visits to a popular local Italian restaurant.
The first inspection took place March 5 at Napolinos on U.S. 301 in Wildwood. The inspector found several food temperature violations and ordered a “stop sale” for some romaine lettuce.
There were scallops at 51 degrees, shrimp at 49 degrees, red snapper at 47 degrees, grouper at 49 degrees and heavy cream at 49 degrees, all well above the required temperature of 41 degrees, according to an inspection report on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. There was romaine lettuce at temperatures ranging from 52 to 64 degrees.
