Didn’t the development districts buy the gates from the Developer for, I believe, $8 million each to cover a period of 30 years? When Walmart opens on County Road 466 and Cherry Lake Road, what’s to stop hundreds of more cars coming through Morse Gate, which is already a cut-through? Ninety percent of the cars coming from U.S. Hwy. 441 and County Road 466 are commuters that do not live between those two roads. I believe the 10 feet in front of the gate still owned by The Villages.
Someday we may have a police force to cover The Villages and the speed between U.S. Hwy. 441 and County Road 466.
