Lady vandalism suspect allegedly inflicted $3,000 worth of damage on Ford Mustang

An Ocala woman was arrested on a warrant Thursday for vandalizing a Ford Mustang, leaving $3,000 in damage.

A deputy responded to a criminal mischief complaint involving 44-year-old Rodnelder Shanail McWhorter at an undisclosed Wildwood residence around 12:45 p.m., Jan. 22, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, a resident advised that McWhorter came onto the property at midnight without consent. He and a female passenger were sitting inside his pickup truck parked in the front yard when she approached them, yelling and arguing. He threatened to call law enforcement, and she ultimately left. He later canceled the call, the report said.

However, McWhorter came back later that morning and scratched the passenger’s Ford Mustang. The damage was estimated at $3,000, as it was a continuous scratch along the driver’s side toward the rear quarter panel of the vehicle, the report said…
