Central Florida drought persists despite weekend rain

ORLANDO, FLa. – Central Florida’s drought conditions have not improved despite the rainfall from Sunday and Monday. The latest update shows conditions have held steady compared to last week, meaning things haven’t worsened—but they also haven’t gotten better.

Burn bans remain in effect across several areas, including Sumter, Lake, Polk, and Brevard counties. In Orange County, yard debris burning continues to be prohibited due to ongoing dry conditions.
