A Villager with a history of drunk driving arrests has landed back behind bars.
Robert Earl Allie, 64, of the Village of Sabal Chase, was being held without bond this weekend at the Sumter County Detention Center on a pair of probation violations.
Last Year, Allie was sentenced 90 days in jail. His driver’s license was revoked for five years and he was placed on probation for one year.
Allie’s first arrest for driving under the influence came as the result of an incident in which he was found passed out in his golf cart at about 11:30 p.m. June 5, 2024 at the entry gate to the Village of Bonita, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He was disoriented when an ambulance crew transported him to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, where he spent five days in the intensive care unit.
