An unlicensed driver from Mexico was arrested after being stopped at a self-service car wash in Wildwood.
An officer observed a gray Chrysler passenger car traveling southbound on Main Street around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A check of the tag revealed the registered owner, 24-year-old Joselin Hernandez Lopez, did not have a valid driver’s license, leading to a traffic stop at Total Car Wash & Laundromat, located at 435 S Main St.
When asked for her license, Hernandez Lopez advised that he had previously been involved in a traffic accident. She had been issued a citation for driving without a valid license, and she had been sentenced to community service and ordered to pay fines for that charge. She later added that she continued to drive because she was going to work, the report said.
A check of her driving history later confirmed she had adjudication withheld by a judge in April 2025 for driving without a license in Marion County, the report said…
